Today, my friend and I wanted to get some alcohol (we're under 21). We went to a liquor store and asked a random guy to go in and buy us some vodka. After giving him $20, he said he had to go turn off his car, then he'd get us the drinks. He got in his car and drove off, with my $20. FML

Today, when I went to the gas station to buy beer, some underage punk outside asked me to buy him booze. I told him to get bent, but the dumbass cashier had seen me talking to him, and refused to let me buy alcohol because, "This is obviously a sting." FML

You are not under any circumstances mature enough to be drinking. 1) You do not ask random strangers to do that shit for you. There is a likely possibility, depending on the location of the store and its history with selling to minors (which you probably don't know), that it could be an undercover police officer standing out there. 2) You do not ask random strangers to do favors like that for you because you don't know them and CANNOT TRUST THEM. Also, common sense should tell you that MOST random strangers would have done what that guy did. Buying alcohol for minors can get people into a lot of trouble... he didn't know you so he sure as hell wasn't going to make that risk for you. But hey! $20! I'd have done the same damn thing. 3) How the HELL do you not have your own sources to get this stuff? If you don't even know any sources or people who will buy for you, then put down the damn vodka and go make some friends first. Jesus.

hahaha sucked in unlike here in australia where you can easily buy alcohole by yourself if you're good looking enough at the age of 16 ;) why you would trust a random with you're money i have no idea.
