Today, my friend and I wanted to get some alcohol (we're under 21). We went to a liquor store and asked a random guy to go in and buy us some vodka. After giving him $20, he said he had to go turn off his car, then he'd get us the drinks. He got in his car and drove off, with my $20. FML

Today, when I went to the gas station to buy beer, some underage punk outside asked me to buy him booze. I told him to get bent, but the dumbass cashier had seen me talking to him, and refused to let me buy alcohol because, "This is obviously a sting." FML

Today, my friends and I went out for drinks. I'm the only one who's actually 21 or over, and they have fake IDs. Not only was I the only one to be carded, the bartender thought that my actual ID was fake. I got kicked out while my friends kept drinking. FML

Just be glad that guy wasn't a cop ... asking someone on the street to be trustworthy with your money is pretty stupid. I totally agree with whoever it was that told you to make some friends.

No, he does not deserve it. Requiring someone to be over 21 to drink is unreasonable and tyrannic, reminiscence of the temperance movement and the prohibition era. Most other countries drinking age is 18, and some (germany, iirc), 16.
