Today, I discovered that my father is getting married. Overjoyed and confused because I didn't know he was dating, I called him up to congratulate him, and ask who she was. Apparently, his soon to be fiancée is my mother-in-law. My wife is not happy. FML

I remember something kind of like this happened to my ex's family. What was awful was that my Ex's dad cheated on my ex's mom with her brother's wife (so my ex's aunt). Then my ex's dad divorced my ex's mom and married the aunt instead. Sorry that sounds so repetitive lol It's an awkward and sad family situation.

well... dont use labels and everything will be fine. "this is my wife and her mother... and this is my father" to your children "you are dad, your wife is mom, your dad is grandpa and her mom is grandma.... it will be normal for any children... so dont stress about it too much

You should just want your father to be happy, same should go for your wife just tell her, her mother seems happy.
