Today, my grandmother patched up my $300, vintage, limited edition, designer jeans because she thought I'd accidentally ripped them. FML

well thats what you get for buying $300 jeans.

Maybe now you can reflect on how absurd it is to spend $300 on Jeans that are ripped, simply because they are "trendy"...

Instead of buying 300 dollar ripped jeans, buy 15 dollar jeans, rip them yourself, and do what ever you want with the saved 285 dollars

you deserved it for buying ripped 300$ jeans, the ripped jeans sytle should be out soon anyways and theyll just be a thing in the past, you wasted your money either way

Thats what you get for stupidly wasting $300 on jeans. Hell, give it to me! I have college to pay for. I could use $300 right about now!

How do you know they weren't a gift from a very well off relative, or even if the OP is in a very well paid job, or decided to spend saved money on jeans they really liked? Is not for another person to judge. Is neither a FML or a YDI really though, the gran was just being nice and there's no YDI now is there? If you're in a very highly paid job $300 is going to be nothing to you. I mean some people have a salary in excess of £100,000 that I know, and a lot of careers start at £40,000+ so the equivalent of £200 isn't much now is it? Seems a lot for jeans, but if I had the money spare I wouldn't rule out buying expensive clothing and you guys probably wouldn't either. Its all a matter of taste. You wouldn't be preaching the YDI if it was a spoilt iPhone from someone elses good intentions, even though my Nokia does the same as an iPhone, and more, but without the huge price tag. What a person wants to spend their money on is their business, the OP only included the amount spent on the jeans to show how distressing it was to them.

YDI for buying pre-ripped jeans no matter what the cost. Don't you people realise that you look like a scruffy hobo.

did you know that clothes last longer if you 'break them in' yourself? all you're doing is spending MORE money on clothing that will last a shorter time because the fibers have been weakened. it's one thing for jeans to be faded and whatnot, but purchasing pre ripped pants seems pretty ridiculous to me. YDI

That's what you get for being a fag.

that's what you get for buying those, I mean who the **** would buy jeans that expensive when they are meant to roll around in? I mean, isn't that what jeans should be for, getting dirty;) ?
