lolcat97 tells us more.
I'm the OP, and I'm glad this got published! For those wondering, it is a fake tree. And it was actually because of my laziness that I had her take it down because I never got around to it. That is when she came up with her "brilliant" idea to cover it with Valentine's Day decorations, which my parents did not seem too impressed with haha.

how is that fml? that doesn't even sound that bad
What's next, Easter decorations on the tree?
hell yes!
When I first started hanging out with the guy who is now my boyfriend, his mother did the same thing. For the first 4 years that I knew them, she decorated that Christmas tree for every single holiday, including: New Years, Valentine's Day, Easter, Arbor Day, St. Patrick's Day, Earth Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, the first day of school (which she considered a holiday), Halloween, Thanksgiving, and finally Christmas. My boyfriend, his dad, and myself finally convinced her that she was crazy for doing that (apparently she'd been doing it for over ten years) and just within the last couple of years have managed to get that tree down after Christmas is over. The point, OP,is you have to nip this in the bud before it gets worse. And just in case anyone is curious, we live near Frankenmuth, MI, home of Bronners, where it is Christmas everyday. They have anything you can think of, in the shape of an ornament. She spent thousands for decorations for every holiday.
how do you decorate a tree for arbor day?
That's actually a good idea.
I did this one year when I was really depressed. I decorated it for Christmas, St. Patrick's Day, Valentines Day, and then Easter! It made the gloom of the crummy weather season a little less horrible for me. It gave me something pretty to focus on, and it really did make the days better just to look at it.
This is a wired thing to do, but i dont see how this can make your life be stated as f*cked
I think this is a great idea, if you can stand the tree for that long. After two weeks of my tree being up, I'm ready for my house to look uncluttered again, and take it down as soon as I can after Christmas.
