Today, my daughter came to me crying because the boy she’s been rejecting for 8 months stopped asking her out, and is now dating someone else. Apparently she secretly liked him and is mad he gave up. That boy dodged a bullet, but I still have to put up with her crazy ass though. FML

Tell her she got what she deserved, and that what she's feeling is what she does to others by playing games and manipulating them. Teach her that empathy and treating others as you want to be treated is important for this very reason. With any luck it will make her a better person.

Correction: Your daughter didn't like him. She liked the attention she was getting from him, and she's upset because he has enough self respect to walk away and not fuel her ego any further.
