Today, I told my boyfriend to stop criticizing my son for his table manners. He said, "It's man things, you wouldn't understand." He acted surprised when I blew my top and told him to leave. FML

I feel like we need more context here. how old is your son? does he mean manners are a man thing or is being critical a man thing?

Teach your kid some table manners. The kid will have to function in society one day and being ridiculed or bullied for not having polite table manners isn’t fun… blowing your top won’t help then you idiot.

I grew up under a single mom. Even she taught me proper manners. Wtf is wrong with you?

Wait... for having table manners or lacking them?

I think the bigger problem here is '"It's man things, you wouldn't understand."'. That is one of the most sexist and degrading things a guy can say to a woman. As for table manners.. he doesn't need to be criticized, he needs to be led by example. Negative toward the kid is not going to help.
