Haha oh dear - years ago I died my curly, brunette hair in a flashy blond and had the stylist straighten it. My own mother walked past me three times without recognizing me, I'm still pretty sure she loves me haha Hope you were able to talk it out with him (also, what's the point of a major change if not to see people's hilarious reactions...?)
