Today, my dad is making plans to move out after fighting with my mom last night. This time, divorce seems imminent. The emotional tension has reached my 11-year-old brother. He’s hurt and confused but they won’t even attempt to gently talk to him. I don’t know how to protect him from this. FML

Kids are pretty resilient however if you’re really worried about him maybe you could reach out to his school and request that he sees a counsellor?

the fact that you're concerned about him says a lot. he's lucky to have you.

You're a good sibling. All he needs right now is for you to just be there for him and show that you and him will always have a great bond. Relationships between siblings grow very strong when you stick together during divorce. My brothers and my sister are all very close and we've always had each others backs. It'll be tough trying to understand but you'll make it through and you just have to be your brothers best friend.
