Today, my colleague is pissed at me for getting her fired: I told our boss that she said she really didnt want this job and would much prefer to get unemployment benefits. Which she will now, because she got fired instead of having to quit. FML

She has every right to be pissed at you. It was her responsibility to tell your boss, and they could have had a conversation to work out how to make her feel happier working there. Instead, you stepped in, and because you jumped the gun, so did your boss. Now your ex-colleague has to explain to future employers why she got fired, instead of quit. Not to mention the fact she didn't have time to set up a new job before you got her canned, so that's more pressure on her. Dick move, Banner.
