Today is the third time in two weeks I have had to go to the school's main office to correct my name. I followed the proper procedures for name changes regarding to transgender students before applying, and yet my old name was still called out in class for all to hear. At a trans inclusive school. FML

If you have a teacher, or teachers, that refuse to call you by your new name, go to the principal, or failing that, as far above their head as you need to until your new name is acknowledged. If, on the other hand, these people correct themselves, and apologize, then it's merely a case of breaking the habit.

This is happening at a college level for my kiddo. Turns out the supposed "inclusive" environment does not include instructors who believe that "gay people are from the devil" and that they will never call them by their chosen name. No matter of complaining to higher ups/the dean makes it change. I am soooo glad we pay huge amounts out of pocket so my child can be treated this way.
