Today, I was made redundant becuase of a long term illness. I had made thousands of pounds for the company and helped them when they were struggling for money... they thanked me with a £50 cheque. FML

You can't be made redundant because of a long term illness, it would have to be a legitimate redundancy I.e. Your role isn't needed any more. You have grounds for discrimination at a tribunal otherwise. They could however agree a settlement figure with you to go away which is usually what happens in this situation as it is risk averse for the business. If you are 'replaced' within a reasonable time frame (I believe 3 months, not 100%) then the role would not be classed as redundant

Today, my cousin asked me what it's like to be so fat. I chastised him and said that was a rude thing to ask. He apologized, then asked me what it's like to be such a pussy. He didn't stop until he, a 10 year-old kid, had reduced me, a 26 year-old woman, to tears. FML

Today, out of sheer stubbornness, my husband forced himself to go to the toilet despite severe constipation. He forced it so hard he now has a migraine and his nose won’t stop bleeding, but he won’t go see a doctor. He could have burst an artery in his brain but no, he knows better than "some doctor." FML
