she's 5 weeks old. her doc said to give her watered down prune juice and it's not normal for them to not poop that long. they need at least 1 poop diaper a day. she's number four and it's summer break so nap are very rare. lol. but it is what it is.

My son had issues pooping too. I gave him watered down prune juice by doc's recommendation as well. He pooped on the carpet while I was changing his diaper. The new diaper caught some of it... Haha.

My son pooped once every 7-11 days because he was exclusively breastfed, and was using all of the nutrients efficiently. His doctor said that it was perfectly normal as long as he was having 6+ wet diapers per day.

It's quite common for a solely breastfed baby to go for days between pooping. With my daughter it was every three days. A friend's baby went every two weeks, they had to add it to their schedule because it happened like clockwork on the same day each fortnight and lasted the whole day.
