Today, I've decided to cut my birth mother entirely from my life because she has had nothing but negative influences in my life. Everyone who knew her told me that I had made the right choice. Now they are all saying that I'm a cold, heartless bitch because she has threatened to commit suicide. Fml

Don't let them get to you. If you feel like your life has drastically improved then stuck by your decision. Control freaks pull that stunt to try and gain control again. I had an ex boyfriend exactly like that and I was his bitch for years. Don't let your mother do the same.

Not your problem. She burned that bridge herself, she may as well hang herself from it too. Tell the people hitching at you about it that if they're so concerned, why don't THEY go live with her and take care of her.
