Content almost refused by staff

Today, I'm on mandatory bedrest and vocal rest. Knowing that means I'm not supposed to talk, my mum refuses to read anything that I write on my notepad. She also refuses to acknowledge me unless I communicate verbally. It hurts to talk, and she laughs whenever I do try to talk. FML

That is abuse, as she's forcing you to risk permanent injury by making you go against doctor's orders. If you have any other family, I suggest asking them for help or even a friend. Otherwise, unless you can try to get a doctor to verbally bitch slap some common sense into her, I suggest ignoring her existence as much as possible and keeping in mind that if you get the ability to move out any time soon, you should take it. Behavior like this doesn't improve.
