Today I learned that I might not be able to visit my sister in Canada for TG because of a DUI I got (deservedly, and served time for) 5 years ago. I’m an otherwise good person. I won’t know until I drive 6 hours and get to the border. And if denied, I either lie or fess up to my whole family. FML.

If you are the good person you say you are, FESS UP NOW. If you tell them after you find out either way, it'll cause more problems than it solves.

Bribe the border officer with weed. Oh wait, it's legal in Canada now. Uh... bribe him with sugar cookies? Or just cross your fingers, and hope Canada doesn't prevent visitors based solely on a single DUI.
