Why on earth didn't they cut you off once it became apparent that you were too far gone to realize you needed to stop? Do you have a history of overdrinking? If so, not only was it bad of you to go to a party you knew their would be alcohol at, but they were bad for inviting you/letting you come. I'd suggest staying away from alcohol entirely from now on, since you have very blatant evidence that you lose the ability to moderate your drinking after the first few. As to your friend, they might come back once they've had a chance to process what happened, considering that you could have died from this. They might be feeling guilty- ****, I know I would if I didn't stop a friend from drinking to that extreme.
