If it's your work and you have records of it, I'm pretty sure you can make it a legal issue over plagiarism, since by taking credit for your work she stole it. If you can't afford to- or don't want to- make it a big legal to-do, try to contact the magazine with the records and see if they'll issue a retraction and issue an apology. If you don't have records and the business doesn't...Well, you're ****** unfortunately. Try to keep records from now on, since you now know your work is publish worthy.
I would be very angry, so I completely understand op! Congratulations on being so talented as to get your work on the cover though:) You'll laugh about this later when you're famous and your slimy ex-boss is forgotten.
