Today, I came out to my parents as a trans man. At first, they seemed accepting, but now whenever I introduce myself to people as Kai, my parents always chime in with “HER name is MIRANDA.” I’ve asked them to stop and they won’t. FML

I'm really sorry Kai. That is really hard to deal with, they don't sound accepting. Hopefully they can be more respectful. It might be a difficult thing for them to deal with too but there are far better ways to go about it.
