Today, at my job as a cashier, I told two young boys who had no parents with them to stop playing. Later when their mom's came to checkout, one boy threw a soft baseball at my head. The parents didn't even apologize. FML.

This is why beating kids should be legal

Uhm, no. 'Beating kids' should NEVER be legal; it shouldn't even be jokingly suggested. Children mimic the behaviors the adult around them enact- they picked up the idea that hitting strangers was okay from their parents. 'Beating' a child is more likely to make them lash out violently or to do permanent damage- mental, physical, and emotional- that could make them violent, unable to function, or outright kill them. Corporeal punishment CAN be effective- but anyone who uses the term 'beating kids' is highly likely to be physically abusive to any children in their care- AT THE LEAST. There's a saying- violence begets violence until someone learns and acknowledges there are other options. A child who is beaten is not going to know that there are other options for handling issues, meaning that is how they will attempt to resolve problems. If you can't see something wrong with saying that 'beating kids should be legal,' kindly stay way the hell away from children and teenagers.
