Today, after saving up for years, I gave the love of my life a 6,000 dollar diamond ring for our anniversary. She then proceeded break up with me because I am "horrible at making good decisions." FML

Hopefully you took that diamond ring back. I hate to say but you deserved it. Why would you give your girlfriend a diamond ring when you're not even getting married? You could've instead purposed but you just gave it away.

Well, breaking up with you is harsh, but I agree with her: it wasn't a good decision. There are lots of other things you could do with that money that would be much more useful than buying such an expensive ring.

Oh my god, she's so heartless! $6,000???? If my fiancé gave me a $6,000 ring, there's no question, I would've taken it in a heartbeat! That's such a thoughtful thing to do and I hope you can get a refund and find someone better for you.
