Today, in my college class, our teacher asked us what we wanted to do when we get out of college. I guess being a U.S. Marine gets you a lecture for the whole class to hear that I'm a war hungry pig, and should get a real job that requires a brain. My job field is Aircraft repair. FML

Today, I'm in a US college. I could've gone into a trade or internship, but no one listened. Now, while my parents brag to their friends that their child has a degree, I'll probably be spending the rest of life in crippling debt, sleeping on the side of the road, and begging strangers for table scraps. FML

Today, I was pretending to be a veteran for the US Navy at a local outlet, because I was desperate for cheap stuff. All was going well, until an actual vet pointed out that the ship I had on my naval hat was a fictitious one. Shit. FML

Today, my teacher's comments on my essay read, "I know it's college, but you use a lot of unnecessary words with a lot of syllables." He basically scolded me for having a complex vocabulary. I go to an accredited state university. Nothing says "America" like under-achieving professors. FML

Today, my dad drunkenly ranted about how I should volunteer for the military because of the crisis in the Middle East. I refused; I'm in college on two scholarships and have listened to stories of why his service still gives him nightmares. I had to hide all the phones to keep him from calling the recruiters. FML

Today, I went to my high school reunion. I was super excited to see what everyone had done in their lives. The nerdy guy I bullied is now a U.S. Marine and already has two deployments in Afghanistan under his belt. He looked at me in his dress blues and said, "I remember you." FML

Today, a few army recruiters came to my school to discuss their jobs with us. When asked to say our name and what we wanted to do when we were older, I said I wanted to be a prosecutor. Everyone started laughing. Turns out everyone thought I said prostitute, including the recruiters. FML

Okay, Being a U.S. Marine is an actual job! So to all of you who don't think it is shove it up your ass you deserve to be shot in the face! Those men and women sacrifice they're lives so you can be free and live happy safe lives with your families correct? YES THAT IS CORRECT. SO TO EVERYONE WHO BOO'S OR DISRESPECTS A MILITARY MAN OR WOMEN THEN **** YOU, SHOVE IT UP YOUR ASS AND KEEP YOUR WORTHLESS OPINION TO YOURSELVES! AND TO THE MARINE: THANK YOU FOR SERVING OUR COUNTRY. Thank you for keeping me and my family safe. I hope you stay safe and stay well! Enjoy your job on aircrafts.... My husband is a marine, so I understand the difficutlies of ASSHOLES who think you all sit on your asses when you don't! and telly our college teacher to grow a pair and shut the **** up!!!

marines or any military branch is a very honorable job if your joining for the right reasons. I'm a mechanic and actually wanted to join so I could service ground vehicles. go for it man!
