Today, my rat has come down with what seems like a respiratory infection. My parents refuse to allow me to use the money I got from a job to take him to the vet to get medicine. Because of this if I don't find some way to treat him, he will die which will cause my other rat to become depressed. FML

I'm really sorry. having said that, if you earned it,not is your money isn't it? Not theirs'. I know it's not as black and white or easy as that but you should be able to use it pretty much as you like. You could also try going to the vet and explaining the situation. They might have pity and give the medicine or put some pressure on your parents to pay?

Today, my daughter got her first house. As soon as she had the keys, she turned on me, ranting at everything she thinks I’ve done to wrong her, and how she never wants to see me again. I don’t understand, I paid for all her furniture, and we still go on mother/daughter trips. Where did I go wrong? FML

Today, during a family dinner, my uncle asked if anyone had any embarrassing stories. Feeling brave, I told them about my recent breakup. As I was getting to the juicy details, my 11-year-old cousin piped up, saying, “You’re talking about the time you ate pizza naked, right?” My face was instantly beet red. FML

Today, my mother machine-washed a suit I rented for a friends wedding, despite me informing her that it was dry-clean only, and that the store would take care of it. I now owe $1600 to replace the suit, and my mum is refusing to help pay, as she was "only trying to help." FML
