It's not what you think

Today, at Starbucks, I complimented the awkward nerdy barista's name tag because of the funny Sonic decorations on it. The dude took it as me flirting and gave me my drink with Sonic drawn on it. I had applied to work there and now I can't go back. FML

I think it was a cute, simple compliment that you gave and he was giving you a cute response. Doesn't confirm nor deny that you want to have his babies. You can go back, I promise.

@8 No, the definition of barista is "a person whose job involves preparing and serving different types of coffee." A female bartender is just a bartender. Why does there have to be a feminine version of a word for bartender?

Just because he drew Sonic on your drink as a response to your comment doesn't mean he's flirting...

YDI for thinking he was flirting with you and for thinking he was thinking it was flirting. Not everyone thinks a kind act is flirting and not every kind act is flirting. It's just a drawing. I geuinely don't think he thought it was flirting or that he was flirting back.

no, barista just means batender in spanish
