Today I finished a six page proof to describe the parameters for a theoretical component in a mechanical design. Since I back up my code on the server, I didn't notice that I had been working on the server copy rather than the local copy (two weeks old, full of errors). Guess which I submitted. FML

Today, after two long years of trying to get my university to reconsider a single grade that ruined all chances of me ever going post-graduate and living my dreams, I was told that I absolutely would have my grade overturned. If I wasn't two years too late. FML

Today, I found out that I am allergic to brass. I have been playing trumpet for four years and want to be a part of an orchestra as a career. I now have a big bruise on my right thumb. And it hurts if it comes into contact with anything. FML

Today, I realized lost my camera on my 6th day of our trip to Italy. It had ALL of our pictures and cost more than $500. It had my most favorite pictures I have ever taken. FML

Today, I found out people in the small country town I moved to think I’m a cross dresser all because one night at a pub with mates I got confused with signage and used the men’s disabled bathroom. I’m a woman through and through...just not a very bright one. FML

Today, I found out that someone opened a credit card in my name, yesterday another person used my account to pay off their credit card, and 5 days ago someone wrote a fraudulent check they had stolen from me for well over $500. Now I'm late on my car payment, most likely late on rent as well. FML

As I was sitting in the bus working on some school work on my computer, two men just grabbed my computer and ran away. I didn't even have time to scream. I lost a lot of important data since I didn't back up for a long time. FML.

OP here. You're exactly right. We've lived together this entire time, and honestly, it doesn't come up very often. He's only met my family once, and the parents have different last names now. So it's pretty comical really. Thank you all for your thoughts! that was fun to share.
