Don't take this as a sign, OP. Everybody gets excited about buying new things, not matter what it is. At the moment you just lack a few other things to get excited about. Treat yourself to your favorite dinner, go out of your way to do something you enjoy, or even try a new hobby. Little changes in your life can make a huge difference in your outlook.
