Today I am getting evicted because I can't pay rent. I spent the last month tryiing to find work but there's nothing. I asked my parents for help because they said they'd always be there to help me. They said no, then proceeded to tell me about their fancy trip to Chicago. FML

Although you can't blame OP entirely. Their parents stated previously they would help them out, and OP didn't state that they specifically waited until the end of the month. They could've asked after a week and OP's parents just continued refusing while OP was job hunting.

It sounds like OP's parents had previously said they would help financially though.

You can't expect them to support you. It was poor planning on your part for having an apartment before having a job and waiting until you get an eviction notice to ask for help.
