Today, while riding my bike on the sidewalk, I came across a ladder. To avoid bad luck, I swerved around it into the street. I got hit by a car. FML

Believing in silly superstitions really gave you bad luck...next time to avoid the clearly recognized irony, just hop off your bike and walk around.

You do know you aren't suppossed to ride your bike on the sidewalk, right? That said, thank you to all the hoodlum for riding on the sidewalk therefore preventing holding up of traffic as everyone slows down to swerve around you.

Why were you riding a bicycle on the sidewalk? Sidewalks are for pedestrians. Sounds like you got what you deserved (and yes I've been hit by a car while riding a bike before).
