It's been said many times, but you should have your party on a different day. The only exception is if it's a milestone birthday (my 21st birthday, of all years, coincided with Mother's Day and my mom doesn't drink. Needless to say, we were at a bar instead of a fancy dinner). You need to learn from your mistakes instead of complaining about them. YDI all the way.
who the **** cares about st patricks day?seriously nobody cares when your birthday is jut because it's on some random holiday that nobody gives a shit about and we don't even get off. guess what? my birthdays on groundhogs day. it usuaally doesn't interfere with my birthday plans but I thought you might want to know because you all care so much
Every year this happens and you still haven't learned to hold it on a different day? :/
My birthday is also on the 31st and growing up I hardly ever celebrated my Birthday on my Birth day. I understand that it is NYE, but most important to me is that it's my Birthday (along with all the other poor souls born on national days, Christmas, Easter etc) and I would like people to remember that. I take the time to remember others Birthday's so please have the same respect. The poor girl does not deserve her friends to ditch her on her Birthday just because something better came along. It's not nice.
I'm sorry, but New Years has had priority party planning since someone thought of it hundreds of years ago...it ain't stoppin to celebrate the birth of one person out of billions. Especially when that person can't think to schedule their party on a days that's not the same as an International Holiday. YD every year of it for no having the brains to reschedule.
Who gives a flying **** if it's NYE. Point is, if someone agrees to come to your birthday party, they should not cancel because 'something better came up'. Doesn't matter what ******* day of the year it is.
#80 I agree. It's not as if the guests didn't know what day December 31st was when they agreed to attend. Unfortunately, after making a commitment, the clods decided to treat a birthday celebration as if it was just another stop on the New Years' Eve party circuit.

ever tried having it on a day you know won't have huge parties going on? ydi
This happens occasionally to me because my birthday is on Valentines day, and it turns out people would rather have some romantic ******* than celebrate my birthday! But FYL
