Today, I gathered the courage to ask my crush on a date. As I called her, she quickly answered and said "Can't talk right now, I'm in a movie theater." and then hung up. I'd called her home phone. FML

You're into really into intelligent girls it seems? :)

You CAN forward your home number to your cell number while you're out. Maybe she was telling the truth. Give her one more chance, if she brushes you off again, then forget it. She's just not into you. Move on.

I've had soemthing like this happen... except the girl called me. Turns out she was already at my house. My blinds were open and I was standing in the living room.

She might be cute, but at least now you know she's stupid. Who wants to date a dumb girl?

lol when my friend called me once, i was like: im in romania. she called my home phone. xD

I didn't read all the comments so someone may have mentioned it but she could have had call forwarding.

Yes, several people mentioned the possibility of call forwarding. Or, since this isn't 1973, maybe she has Google Voice, a more modern analog.

there is a marvel of technology called call forwarding you moron. **** u for being technologically challenged!

ydi for asking her out through the phone

It's also possible you really did call her cell. Mistakes happen when phone numbers are given. However, even if you did, her curt answer screams "Not interested." Unless she returned your call later, move on. And if you're feeling miffed, tell her what she did and let her feel embarrassed at her own stupidity.

If she's gonna lie to you like that she's not worth your time.
