Today, I found out my mom has notebooks with lists of everything she has bought for me ever since I was born. Apparently she is going to make me pay her back for all the money she spent on me once I'm an adult. FML

Today, I told my mom I wasn't doing very good mentally and I was looking for some support. She decided to remind me of all of the things I still haven't paid her back for. I'm now an unpaid loan, not her daughter. FML

Today, it's been months that my mom has owed me $174, and every time I ask she tells me she's too poor to pay me back. Girly bought an entire 180k dollar farm with my grandparents the day after I asked (also the money was used for gas, and she guilt tripped me into giving it to her). FML

Today, my mom yelled at me because I refused to lend her money. The reason I won't lend her money? The last time I did, she and my dad went out and bought a Macbook and a new car instead of paying bills. Apparently, I'm being 'selfish' by keeping my own money and putting it towards university. FML

Maybe she is just curious as to what it cost to raise her child. I seriously doubt she will make you pay her back.Did you add up what it has amounted to so far?

What you do, is when she asks you for the money, you tell her "you are dead to me," and you don't talk to her again unless she asks for forgiveness. Believe me, she will ask for it.

And if she says that she gave birth to you, explain to her that that was her decision. Nobody ever asked to be born. We have obligations in this life only to the people that earn them. I didn't talk to my mother for two whole years before she passed away, and I have no regrets about that. My father on the other hand, who was completely absent from my life for 14 years, now has made ammends and we get along great, even though one time we even got into a fistfight.
