Today, after 8 months of being belittled and treated like trash at my job as a prep cook in a high-end kitchen, I stood up for myself to the line cooks. Not only did everyone laugh at me, I got fired for causing a scene during service and insubordination. FML

Today, I got fired from my new waitress job after 2 shifts. They said I wasn't experienced enough to handle the fast pace. I thought I'd been doing well so I asked my friend who works there what really happened. Apparently not showing my boobs enough at a family place was grounds for dismissal. FML

Today, despite filling all the parameters for a model employee and being praised by multiple people over the time I was working, I was fired because a client complained to my manager that I didn't seem to know what I was doing. FML

Today, I got fired from my job as a seafood manager because an entire wedding group came in and started yelling at me, saying the shrimp was horrible and I ruined their wedding. They showed me the leftovers; they never cooked them. They fed raw shrimp at a wedding dinner party. FML

Servers can’t be fired because someone’s food didn’t come out right. You SERVED the food. You didn’t cook it. Get a lawyer.

Where I live, there's usually a time frame of a few weeks or months up to 6 months where you can be fired without any reason. As it was OP's first week, I'd assume it was something like that for her as well.

Everyone knows what servers do to the food of customers who are rude to them. Are we calling it "seasoning" nowadays? Nice!
