Winning, so much winning

Today, and for the past 6 months of unemployment, I’ve realized my life is spiraling downward fast. Years of hard work, sacrifice, honors from top schools, and constant validation, JUST TO GET BRUTALLY ASSFUCKED BY THE GODDAMN JOB MARKET. It feels like everything I worked for went down the drain. FML

Are you only applying for jobs in your field? If so, there’s your mistake. Apply for anything and anything with this job market. One of my kids has a degree in business management and he is currently working as a security officer making $23/hr, which easily pays his bills

Just thought I'd ask: did you study anything that gave you marketable skills? Your hard work, sacrifice, honors from top schools, and (least of all) constant validation don't mean anything to anyone else unless you can do something that someone is willing to pay for. This isn't a recent phenomenon, it's always been that way.
