Today, I found out my oldest brother is getting married in two weeks. I heard about it through one of my two sisters, who pretty much helped end his last marriage, and who he hasn’t spoken to in 3 years. She wanted to complain about the invite taking so long. I still haven’t been invited, and I thought we were on good terms. FML

Today, I arrived at my best friend's wedding and found out that my invitation was no longer valid. His brother tried to explain that they'd decided to make the ceremony for family members only, then two our classmates popped out to say hello. They're not related, neither to my friend nor to his fiancée. FML

The wedding is usually (not always) the Bride’s arrangement and the Groom and groom’s family usually pretty much do as the Bride has requested. It’s possible that the Groom’s sister (OP) started making a lot of unwanted suggestions about the wedding and that could be the reason for the response.
