My cat would leave me dead birds when I was very small (4-5yo). Luckily my uncle was there the first time to explain this sign of love. And that my cat believed me to be a terrible hunter, which he wasn't wrong about.

If you are living somewhere where cats are an introduced species and you’re not responsible enough to keep your car indoors then you shouldn’t own a cat. Cat’s a menace to native wildlife and are putting many species on the verge of extinction.
