The devil

Today, I was working when an older lady came up to buy a coffee. Her son cried for a cup of whipped cream to snack on. She shook her head, silently telling me to say no. I said we were out. The mother took her drink and said, "I'm sorry honey, but the mean man said you couldn't have any." FML

wow sounds like one of those overbearing mothers that screw up their sons by spoiling them, making it impossible for any woman to be good enough for him when he grows up. a normal mom has the backbone to say no to her child.

she was trying to find a scape goat so that she could not let her son have the whipped cream, but still be the good guy. that's something you laugh at, not take personally. what did you think was going to happen anyway? you lied.

It's not something you laugh at, she was being purposefully mean. She could've just said 'see, they don't have any.' Also, OP did what the customer asked, meaning he lied because it's his job, pretty much.

"I said we are out of whip cream. But here, have some sugar packets."

some people are just arseholes. I mean, seriously? teaching your grandchildren to hate someone they don't even know? That's really low.

What a bitch of a mother! If I started crying for something, my mum would have just told me to shut up and wait till we get home or something...

This happens to me all the time :( I feel your pain
