Today, as I worked as a cashier, two girls came up laughing. I smiled as I rang them up, asking what had made them laugh so hard. One looked me dead in the face and said, "You." They then both walked away, laughing. FML

Today, I was at a supermarket when I saw a guy waving enthusiastically at me. I waved back, smiling like an idiot. He kept waving, so I waved harder, even giving him the ole finger guns. Then his actual friend walked up behind me, and I realized he wasn’t waving at me at all. The cashier witnessed everything and whispered, “Yikes.” FML

Eek, not fun. So sorry on that! To everyone who says this person is insensitive: a lot of the time when someone has tourettes, it's not obvious at all. I know a kid who has tourettes and has fits all the time, but you wouldn't guess at all. You'd think he's just some annoying immature kid if you didn't know.

#45: the OP wasn't making fun of her, rather he was trying to not make it an awkward situation. maybe he thought it was the customer trying to liven up his day. so don't be such a jackass assuming you know what people were thinking.
