Today, I was late for a job interview so I got a taxi to get there. Then the driver got lost and ended up taking me to the wrong address. By the time I got to the right location, I was 20 minutes late and had sweat stains on my shirt. To make matters worse, the interviewer was my ex who I had a messy breakup with. FML

Thank the cab driver for saving you from your idiot self. Interviewing with your ex is an exercise in humiliating futility. You should have demanded that your ex have no role in the decision to hire you, and if there's no way around it, simply withdraw your application.

Doesn’t sound like you were getting that job anyway, nor would it have been a good fit. So yeah, that sucks, but it doesn’t suck as bad as working with your ex.
