Today, whilst I was in a corner deli getting snacks, my girlfriend thought it would be funny to drive the car 50 metres down the street so that I would be confused when I came out... She was picked up by a cop driving without her license and now my car is impounded for 28 days. FML

If she has a car you should ask her it you can borrow it then park it not far from were you live in a no parking zone. LOL.

For the next 28 days have her lend her car to you. Or tell her to pay whatever way of moving around you alternatively use. i.e. a cab.

Western Australia has recently introduced new hoon driving laws to cut down on the number of young people speeding and dieing on our roads. Hooning offences such as driving without a licence will result in a mandatory impounding of whatever car you are driving for 28days. He is also going to have to pay 1-2k to cover the cost of storage of his car for the period. If he doesnt pay it they will sell his car to recover the cost.

Well, his girlfriend probably didn't grab her wallet with the license for a 50 meter drive. I don't really grab my wallet when I re-park my car, so she isn't necessarily dumb, she just had very, very bad luck with a cop right there.

Why dump someone over this? Call her a ******* idiot, have her do something to make it up (like loan her car if she has one) and get over it. Lots of pranks backfire. There's no need to write someone off just because theirs did. Besides, you now have a free pass the next time you do something boneheaded.
