Give it time, there may be another explanation. Or he's just an internet creep and after he got your picture he has enough information to track you down and rape you. Hope that's not the case.
It probably wasn't his picture and he knew that you were out of his league! Count your blessings, he must've been the total opposite of that picture!
OP: ignore the asshole comments. i've been in your position. i've also been in the guy in your post's position. just remember no matter how good-looking/ugly you are, there's always someone better looking/uglier than you. no matter what people say, for 99% of the population at least some level of physical attraction matters. don't take it too hard. it just didn't work out for you this time.
