Today, I was going to propose to my girlfriend of 4 years. I took the whole day to cook a nice meal, and stuck the ring in a cookie that I was going to give to her. In the middle of the dinner I was holding the cookie under the table, about to give it to her. My dog ate it. FML

The only time anyone ever really looks at M&Ms is when they're in a bowl and you're checking to see if they're actually Skittles. It's a cute gesture I suppose, but why wouldn't you say something to get her to read them? Personally I don't know that I could take a candy proposal seriously, especially considering that it's February. I'd most likely assume it was some themed marketing thing and ignore it completely if I did happen to notice.

I think it was a sweet gesture, OP. Although evidently not to plan. To those whom have said 'Who reads M&M's?' ... Wouldn't you notice that they looked a little different? Like, not just one letter? It's fairly easy to notice...
