People can be harsh when it comes to things like this, but maybe she was doing what is best for you. For example, maybe she was thinking she doesnt deserve you, or that she has problems keeping a commitment.

I wouldn't take it personally. Chances are she has a low self esteem and doesn't think she's worthy of being liked, or if she doesn't have feelings for you then she doesn't want you to like her because she has a hard time letting people down. Or she's just a bitch, depends how she said it and what your relationship was like.
