Every Starbucks has the now hiring sign in the window, even if they aren't, not sure why. #13 is right. I know a few friends who work for Starbucks, and they've had some major cuts lately. And not every store takes applications if they aren't hiring. I work at a small retail store, and we people all of the time we aren't hiring, adn don't give out applications. Most of the time they get lost in the back on desks anyway. So don't be offended.

#14-Quit being an asshole A lot of jobs keep up thier "now hiring" signs even when their NOT hiring. Of course, you could throw a hot cup of coffee in his face

This has happened to me too! I went in after seeing the the sign in the window that said they were hiring. They told me not to even bother filling out an application.
HAH! Starbucks once told me "we only do careers here at Starbucks," when I tried to apply for a summer job to help pay for college.

Go to work at Dunkin' Donuts, or even better, Teavana. The people there are nicer in my experience.

three options.... a) you're ugly. sucks to be you. oh, and no, you can't sue for that. hiring practce cases are cake to defend against....and being ugly isn't protected b)starbucks always has the igns up. they have to c) you SHOULD apply at Dunkin' Donuts.....they have no issues with hiring fat/ugly people

#4 - re-read the fml verrry carefully alot of places have those up and just never take them down even when they don't need people.... like the kfc near my place that has the rusted, crooked sign near the drive through.
