Today, I told my mom I wasn't doing very good mentally and I was looking for some support. She decided to remind me of all of the things I still haven't paid her back for. I'm now an unpaid loan, not her daughter. FML

Today, it's been months that my mom has owed me $174, and every time I ask she tells me she's too poor to pay me back. Girly bought an entire 180k dollar farm with my grandparents the day after I asked (also the money was used for gas, and she guilt tripped me into giving it to her). FML

Today, and for the past 2 years, my aunt has owed me money. She just admitted that she fell for a scam, and gave the scammer more than double the amount I'd loaned her. I felt bad for her… until I realized something. When I asked how she had it to give to them, but not to pay me back, she got mad and hung up on me. FML

I've learned that when it comes to family (especially parents) money is only owed when you borrow it from them. Just ask my mom and the $200 she owes me for getting her car fixed that one time.

Cut her off and make her pay you back. Why should you have to continually loan her money and she doesn't have to pay you back just because she's your mom ( I'm assuming that's one of her reasons I could be wrong) but if you borrow a little bit all the sudden you have to pay it back right then and there?
