I'm glad to hear you're there! It's honestly better than nothing and hopefully they can get the miscommunication fixed up quickly and it won't bother you. Though if you kept your money before all of this happened, I hope they pay you back sometime down the road. It's hard to raise up money to buy things when you're still in school. Good luck!

You can also call your local welfare office - if they can't help, they can direct you to organizations that may be able to. I know it can be difficult to accept help from strangers, but it's better than digging the hole deeper by using up every penny coming into the household.</p>

Welcome to adulthood!
Adulting is hard but you do what you have to. They are your family and (hopefully) would do the same for you.
<p>Try to pick up some more hours at work, this is a good oppertunity to beef up your income anyways, you'll need it soon enough. </p>

this girl is 17, she shouldn't HAVE to worry about taking care of her family. When you're a child, you're family takes care of you. I'm not saying that she shouldn't help in this situation, but she shouldn't be viewed as bratty for being slightly frustrated at the situation.
