To write hip hop off as a genre is very ethnocentric. Hip hop has made and continues to make some of the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful music in any genre of music. This is directed at all the people in the comments section insulting the genre.
I'm lucky my dentist plays radio Disney. I get to hear let it go and little mermaid songs and more. it's hella relaxing keeps me from freaking out. 26 and still despise dentistry.
Never had a dentist that played anything other than some crappy radio station everyone I'm sure even them hates.

OP, why can't you just use your words? As the patient, you have every right to express an opinion about your treatment. Is it so hard to request a change of music or none at all?
