It's Thursday!

Today, I went in the diner I always pass by and ordered a sandwich. When I asked how much it was, the waitress replied, "Don't worry, honey. We give free meals to the homeless on Thursdays." I was too ashamed to deny it, so I just said thank you and left. FML

To all of you claiming 'free meal!' Have some gorram integrity. Swallow your shame and speak up. Be offended. If anything, the waitress should be submitting an FML for offering a free homeless sandwich to someone that wasn't.

Clearly you've never been in a position where you have to struggle to make ends meet. If you're poor and someone mistakenly gives you a sandwich, you tell your sense of pride to sit the **** down, and you say thank you, eat your sandwich, and be grateful for one less meal you have to worry about.
