No it doesn't. It can take only a couple hours. There's no set amount of time. Food poisoning doesn't follow ******* rules, it's not like: "Oh, I can't infect this person yet because it hasn't been 12 hours!!!!!"
This happens all the time.
I have heard and I may be wrong, but that the effects of food poisoning occur within 15 to 20 minutes after eating said food. Maybe it wasn't your job? Still sucks however.
