I know many people with Alzheimer's (albeit not in the advanced stages) that are usually unattended. Also, stories that about patients who escape from their caretakers and wander around for hours and hours without anyone finding them. It's not uncommon. Also, aren't you glad you know a lawyer, murph? :-P
i'm actually surprised she remembered the number to 911
Police are ******* idiots. That sucks. :(
I smell a rat here. Surely the police would find out that the OP was the owner before carting his ass to jail? I would think that finding out who the owner is would take one quick phone clal to the previous owner, if documents couldn;t be produced. 6 hours? Hmm I guess it's possible that the previous owner was out haha.
i don't get it.
Next time you see her, make her believe she's going on a trip, and put her on an Amtrack or a Greyhound.
haha i was actually thinking the other day wat i would do if i got wrongly thrown in jail...u should have just flipped out
If this lady's got Alzheimer's and you know it (this means you know this lady which means she comes in often), then next time's she's in the store, call the cops and accuse her of shoplifting. You can even "plant" something in her purse to seal the deal and she won't remember! Then have her banned from the store with a restraining order. Problem solved.
Wow, I hope she doesn't do it again tomorrow! And the next day, and the next day...
They do need to apologise for wrongful arrest, though, #4.
