I got pulled over last year for an expired inspection sticker last year because I was driving my friend's car and he hadn't gotten it inspected but the cop told me that if I got it inspected before my court date the charge would be dropped... obviously I dunno if the laws where you are from are the same but its definitely worth looking into before dropping the $250

get it inspected, mail the copy in...they'll let it go
